Overlapping mesh elements
Mesh elements that overlap in the same plane. You should remove overlapping elements from a mesh because they interfere with accurate analyses.
Overlapping elements are shown in the following diagrams:
- Diagram 1 shows mesh elements that do not overlap.
- Diagram 2 shows mesh elements that partially overlap.
- Diagram 3 shoes mesh elements that fully overlap.
