Preselection adds the names of vertices to the Vertex list in the Skins window, without making them available for weighting. You may select the vertices for weighting later. This is useful when you want to select the vertices to be weighted directly from the Vertex list.
To preselect a:
- vertex — click the vertex + x
- group of vertices — click and drag a selection in the Viewer window + x
To deselect:
- a preselected vertex — middle-click the vertex + x
- a group of preselected vertices — middle-click and drag to create a deselection area + x
- all preselected vertices — right-click an empty location in the Viewer window
To make a:
- preselected vertex available for weighting — middle-click the vertex
- group of preselected vertices available for weighting — middle-click and drag to create an area
To add:
- an additional vertex to a selection — middle-click + x
- additional vertices to a selection — middle-click and drag to create an area + x
