Cause:
|
A manufacturing constraint was specified on a
TOPVAR Bulk Data entry and one or more elements could not be linked. Manufacturing constraints link elements in one part of the
TOPVAR design region to another. Typically, orphaned elements result due to mesh irregularities.

|
Action:
|
Depending on the manufacturing constraint specified, do one or more of the following:
- For symmetry constraints, a symmetric mesh is desirable about the symmetry plane(s) specified. Increasing the
TOPTELEMSYMTOL model parameter may correct the problem if the mesh cannot be modified.
- For an extrusion constraint, a uniform mesh is desirable in the extrusion direction. Increasing the
TOPTELEMEXTOL model parameter may correct the problem if the mesh cannot be modified.
