iLogic Automation

Refer to the iLogic Tutorials for more information about the commands available for use in iLogic rules.

To set the DLLs Directory Path

1. On the Tools tab, click the arrow to expand the Options menu.
2. Click iLogic Configuration.
3. Under the iLogic Addin DLLs Directory (object of iLogic), make sure the path is set to the directory where Inventor Nastran has been installed. This should be: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor Nastran 2023\In-CAD\System.

To Add an iLogic Rule

1. From the browser, switch to the iLogic tab.
2. From the Rules tab in the browser, right-click in the white space and choose Add Rule.
3. Enter a name for the new rule and click OK.
4. Use the Edit Rule dialog to add snippets, manually enter commands, or paste in commands from an external file.
5. Click Save to save the rule for later use or Save & Run to execute the rule immediately.

To Edit an iLogic Rule

1. Right-click an existing rule in the browser and choose Edit Rule.
2. Use the Edit Rule dialog to adjust the rule.
3. Click Save.

To Run an iLogic Rule

1. Right-click an existing rule in the browser and choose Run Rule.
   Note: If you have multiple rules saved, you can also right-click in the white space (make sure no rules are selected) and choose Run All Rules.
