Use this page to adjust the options for the ReCap file reader.
Controls how ReCap projects are converted when opened.
Specifies the maximum number of points drawn during interactive navigation by the ReCap engine. The default value is 500000 points. Increasing the number of points improves render quality, but reduces the frame rate. This setting is ignored when used with Scans or Voxels conversion mode.
Specifies the maximum amount of memory the ReCap engine will be allocated in MB. The default value is 0. This means that the memory resources will be distributed as follows: up to 1/3 of total memory or 4 GB (whichever is smaller) on 64-bit machines. You can change the value, if you want the ReCap engine to use more memory resources. This setting is ignored when used with Scans or Voxels conversion mode.
Specifies the density of rendered points. The default setting is 100%. This means that when rendering ReCap files, Navisworks tries to render one point for every pixel, using just enough points to achieve a solid look. You can lower the point cloud density below 100%, to render less points for a sparser look. You can also increase point cloud density above 100% to render more than one point every pixel. This can improve the quality of the rendering further but will significantly extend time to fill in all the details.
Determines the distance between points in the ReCap point cloud. Use this option to limit the number of points retrieved for Clash Detection and display, for faster rendering and improved performance when working with large ReCap files containing many points.
Determines the size of points drawn during interactive navigation by the ReCap engine. By default this check box is selected. The points sizes are drawn larger to fill the gaps between them, and resulting in a smoother rendering appearance. If this check box is clear, the points are drawn normal size with the increased gaps between them.
Specifies a maximum size for points when scaling the size interactively.
By default this check box is clear, and both colour and lighting values are extracted from the input file. Select this check box if you want to use Autodesk Navisworks lighting modes instead.
This option controls what happens when you publish an NWD with the selected Embed ReCap and Texture data option. This option does not apply to Navisworks Freedom.
