Work with Lights in your Model
Show or Hide Light Glyphs
- Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering .
- On the Autodesk Rendering window > Rendering toolbar, click Light Glyphs . This controls the display of glyphs representing the light sources in the current viewpoint. It does not turn the light sources on or off.
Toggle Lights in the Model
Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering .
Click the Lighting tab, and select the check box in the Status field next to the light you want to turn on. Clear the check box if you want to turn the light off. The light is still available to be used later.
Note: By default, up to eight lights will be used in your model. If you have more than eight lights, they will have no effect on the model even if you turn them on. You can use the
Options Editor to use unlimited number of lights, if needed.
Delete Lights from your Model
- Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering .
- Click the Lighting tab, and locate the light you want to delete in the Lights view.
- Right-click the light, and click Delete on the context menu.
Edit Light Properties
- Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering .
- Click the Lighting tab, and locate the light you want to edit in the Lights view. The light glyph becomes selected in the Scene View.
- In the Properties view, use the General settings to change the light's name, and adjust the filter color, lamp intensity and lamp color as required.
