Selection Commands

Selection commands enable you to quickly alter the current selection using logic. You can select multiple items based on the currently selected items’ properties, or quickly invert the set, select everything or nothing.

Select All Items in the Model

1. Click Home tab > Select & Search panel > Select All drop-down > Select All .

Deselect all Items

1. Click Home tab > Select & Search panel > Select All drop-down > Select None .

Invert your Current Selection

1. Click Home tab > Select & Search panel > Select All drop-down > Invert Selection .

Currently selected items become deselected, and currently deselected items become selected.

Select all Instances of the Selected Geometry Group

1. Click Home tab > Select & Search panel > Select Same drop-down > Select Multiple Instances .

Select all Items with the Same Name as the Currently Selected Item

1. Click Home tab > Select & Search panel > Select Same drop-down > Same Name .

Select all Items with the Same Type as the Currently Selected Item

1. Click Home tab > Select & Search panel > Select Same drop-down > Same Type .

Select all Items with the Same Property as the Currently Selected Item

1. Click Home tab > Select & Search panel > Select Same drop-down > Same .

Use a Saved Selection or Search Set

• Click Home tab > Select & Search panel > Sets drop-down, and click the set you want to recall.
• Open the Selection Tree window, and click the Sets tab.
