Work with the Sun in a Model
Toggle the Sun
- Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering .
- On the Autodesk Rendering window > Rendering toolbar, click Sun . You can also turn the sun on and off on the Environments tab.
Toggle the Sun Light Effect
- Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering .
- Click the Environments tab > Sky panel, and select the Render Sky Illumination check box to turn on the sun light effect. If this check box is not active, you need to turn on the sun light first.
- To turn off the sun light effect in the Scene View, clear the Render Sky Illumination check box.
Change the Sun Brightness
- Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering .
- Click the Environments tab > Sun panel > General section.
- Move the Intensity Factor slider to select a new value. The higher the number, the brighter the light.
Change the Sun Color
- Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering .
- Click the Environments tab > Sun panel > General section.
- Click the Color picker to choose the desired color.
Change the Sun Disk Properties
Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering .
Click the Environments tab > Sun panel > Sun Disk Appearance section.
Move the Disk Scale slider to adjust the scale of the sun disk.
Move the Glow Intensity slider to adjust the sun glow.
Move the Disk Intensity slider to adjust the intensity of the sun disk.
Tip: Selecting the Render Sky Illumination check box turns on the sun effect in the Scene View.
Change the Sun Angle
Click Render tab > System panel > Autodesk Rendering .
Click the Environments tab > Sun panel > Sun Angle Calculator section.
Click the Date setting, and select a new date.
Click the Time setting, and select a new time.
Select the Daylight Saving check box if necessary.
Tip: For best results, consider using morning or afternoon sun light.
