Workplane from 3 Arc Points

Use the Workplane from 3 Arc Points item to create a workplane at the centre of an arc or circle by selecting three points on an arc or on the circumference of a circle

To create a workplane from three arc points:

1. Click Home tab > Toolpath Setup panel > Create Workplane > Workplane from 3 Arc Points to display the Create Workplane tab.
2. Click three points on an arc or circle. PowerMill calculates the centre of the arc or circle, which determines the origin of the workplane, and displays the Confirm Origin dialog.
3. Click Accept.

   You can change the location of the origin in this dialog.

4. In the graphics area, select the direction of the Z axis. There are two options perpendicular to the plane of the arc or circle.
