Use the Workplane Aligned to Geometry item to create a workplane in the selected location that is aligned to the geometry (normal to the curve or surface) at that point.
To create a workplane aligned to geometry:
- Click Home tab > Toolpath Setup panel > Create Workplane > Workplane Aligned to Geometry to display the Create Workplane tab.
- Click in the graphics window or enter coordinates using

, or
and
in the
Status bar to insert the workplane.
The Z axis is normal to the selected curve.
