A template model is a model that is used as the basis for all new models. This model is called:
NEW_MODEL_MASTER_25
If a template model exists, a copy of this model is created each time you create a model using File > New.
Your template model can store information, including:
- defaults for model-dependent options on the
Options dialog, such as tolerance.
- standard-level settings and names.
- line styles.
Even standard geometry, such as symbols, can be included in this model.
To create a template model:
- Make sure no-one else is using
PowerShape and that you have system administrator privileges.
- Create a model containing all the required settings.
- Save the model with the name
NEW_MODEL_MASTER_25 as follows:
- Select File > Options > File > Model.
- Deselect
Always save and open from outside the database.
- Click
OK.
- Save the model.
- Delete all existing models with names of the form
NEW_MODEL_<*>_25
(where * is the number of the model).
For example,
NEW_MODEL_1_25.
If
Always save and open from outside the database
is deselected and you have administration privileges, you can select File > Delete. Alternatively:
- Open the
Command
window.
- Type:
admin delete model
- Type:
NEW_MODEL_*_25
(where * is the number of the model). For example, NEW_MODEL_1_22.
- Select
Always save and open from outside the database to start saving models outside the database again.
Tip: The template model can be edited as if it were any other model.
