Reinforcement of openings
Select the Opening reinforcement tab in the Reinforcement Pattern dialog to define the manner of adjusting the reinforcement of openings treated as calculation openings.
Main Reinforcement Field
This reinforcement appears both in the upper and the lower part of an opening and serves as the bowstring that assures correct work of the created vaulting. The available options define the reinforcement diameter, the number of reinforcement layers and the minimum spacing between reinforcement layers. If no reinforcement diameter is selected, it is set automatically.
Distributed Reinforcement Field
This reinforcement appears both in the upper and the lower part of an opening at the height equal to the opening width. The calculated reinforcement area is independent from the area of distributed reinforcement of a deep beam.
Suspended Vertical Reinforcement Field
This reinforcement assures the proper suspension of the reinforcement applied above the opening in the zone = 0.75 of opening width. Additionally, it serves a structural function in cooperation with the upper reinforcement of the opening. The calculated area of reinforcement is independent of the area of distributed reinforcement of a deep beam. It is possible to shape the reinforcement within the opening by means of the options for defining the diameter and length of reinforcement arms.
Vertical Reinforcement Field
This reinforcement appears in the form of posts hidden within a deep beam. They serve the function of vertical strengthening of the opening. The amount of reinforcement in one post is at least a half of the amount of vertical reinforcement applied to the opening width. Reinforcement diameter and length allow you to shape this reinforcement at will.
