Use this dialog to add masses to members for structure dynamic analysis or for static calculations, when forces are generated for body loads (body forces as well as centrifugal and angular acceleration forces) and self-weight.

on the Self-weight and mass tab of the
Load Definition dialog.
- Values of weight
- Specify the masses
m1 and
m1 distributed along the length of a member.
Note: The value of the mass is determined using its weight (acceleration of gravity is applied).
- Specify the coordinates of the beginning
x1 and end point
x2 along the member's length at which the member mass is applied, and then specify if these coordinates are
relative or
absolute.
- Apply to All Cases
- Adds the defined mass to all the dynamic cases defined for the structure.
