Use the Geometry tab to define basic parameters of the gusset plate. Specify:
Method of positioning the bars on the gusset plate
- diagonals (bars 3 and 5)
- post (bar 4)
- chord bars (bars 1 and 2)
Bars that are included in the connection
Method of connecting individual bars to the gusset plate (bolted or welded connection).
If the Chord continuous option is selected, the truss chord is made of one bar (bars 1 and 2 connect to form one bar).
Shear plane for all bolts:
- Unthreaded portion
- Threaded portion
