Use this option to define coordinates for the characteristic points; member calculation or verification is performed for these points. Access the option by clicking the Options button in the Configuration dialog.
The following coordinates are defined.
- The points in which the internal forces (longitudinal force Fx, transversal forces Fy and Fz and bending moments My and Mz) reach their maximal values.
- The points with user-defined coordinates (the coordinates may be defined as relative or absolute values).
If the option Simultaneous calculations in characteristic points and in the even-division points is selected, then structure member calculations is performed for both the defined characteristic points (determined in this dialog box) and for the number of calculation points determined in the Configuration dialog (the Point number option).
