Use this dialog to define linear loads acting along a selected line defined on the planar finite elements of a structure.
- Access
-
- Click on the Surface tab in the Load Definition dialog.
Enter the actual information in this section (optional).
- P1, P2, M1, M2
- Specifies the linear load P and the load of a moment M distributed along a defined segment.
- Enter the appropriate P or M load values in the direction of the X, Y, or Z axis of the global or local system given in points A and B.
- A, B
- Specifies the location of the points A, and B.
- Enter the coordinates of the points in the A, B, and B boxes, or select the node numbers of the existing planar finite elements from the drawing area.
Note: The beginning and end points of a segment to which a load is applied can lie outside of the structure.
- Coord. system
- Specify whether the coordinate system should be global or local.
- Gamma angle
- If the load is inclined, specify the angle at which the load deviates from the vertical.
- This applies to load definitions in the local coordinate system only.
