After you click General Parameters in the
Preferences dialog, you can select parameters for saving and opening structures and for performance.
At the top of the dialog there are the following fields:
- Recently used structures - Use this field to enter the number of recently used structures. The names of the files containing these structures will display in the File menu. The maximum number of concrete structures that can be displayed is 20.
- Active UNDO option - Selecting this option while defining a structure model, lets you undo the last step.
- Backup copy (.bak) - Saves the structure model as a file with the project to the disk drive.
- Use local copy of network files - Maintains a temporary local copy of the structure model when working over a network. The file is synced with the source network file when saved and closed.
In the middle of the dialog there are the following fields:
- Automatic save every
- Fields let you define the time interval for saving the structure to a file.
- Remind about structure saving every - Fields let you set a reminder to save the structure after a specified time has passed.
At the bottom of the dialog there are the following fields:
- Show the Tips of the Day - Selecting this option displays Tips of the Day when you start
Robot.
- Calculator in edit fields - Selecting this option launches a calculator when you double click in an edit field.
- Object Inspector - Work with the Object Inspector dialog. When defining a structure model with a large number of objects, working with an active Object Inspector dialog can slow the performance of
Robot. You can turn it off because this option is not required.
Note: Closing the dialog box does not inactivate Inspector. You must clear this option to turn off Object Inspector.
