Stirrups

There are several parameters of transversal reinforcement (stirrups) defined in the Reinforcement of beams dialog:

• Stirrup parameters

• Stirrup type
  
  
  
  

• Type, diameter, and material of bars
• Hooks
• Cover value c (defined for each stirrup type)
• Value of the parameter a (defined for third and fourth stirrup types): ,

• Constructional bars of anti-shrinkage reinforcement

Stirrups and longitudinal bars (at the center of the cross-section height)

• Type, diameter, and material of horizontal bars
• Type, diameter, and material of stirrups (longitudinal bars in the middle of the section height)
• Hooks
• Cover value

Note: For anti-shrinkage reinforcement, you can define:

• the same distribution as for stirrups
• the distribution with a constant, user-defined spacing.
