Work with Text Descriptions in the drawing area

There are several ways to work with text descriptions in the graphic area.

Note: You cannot edit the descriptions for legends or structure axes.

To change the position of a description

• Drag the description to its new position in the drawing area.

To move descriptions back to their original position, click View Descriptions Default Description Position.

To change the format of a description

1. Right-click on a description, and then select Text Properties.

   The Description dialog opens.

2. Change the text properties as required.
   Tip: Use the Comment area to add some additional information to the description.
3. Click Apply, and then click Close.

To add a comment to a description

1. Right-click on a description, and then select Text Properties.

   The Description dialog opens.

2. Enter additional information in the Comment area.
3. Click Apply, and then click Close.

To delete a description

1. Right-click on a description, and then select Text Properties.

   The Description dialog opens.

2. Click Clear.
3. Click Apply, and then click Close.

Alternatively, right-click on a description, and then select Delete Added Text, or click View Descriptions Delete additional descriptions.

To delete a description from the drawing area

• Right-click on the description, and then click Delete.

To restore deleted descriptions

• Click View Descriptions Restore Deleted Descriptions.

Alternatively, right-click on a description, and then select Delete Added Text.
