When the Deformation tab is selected on the Diagrams for buildings dialog, the following displays:
Selecting the Deformation option allows presenting deformed structure under the applied load.
The values of the following quantities can be selected in the above dialog.
As in the slab gravity center calculation, the average displacement of the slab gravity center is weighed by the weight of the slab objects. As an example, the averaged displacement in the X direction, UXF = SUM(i) (UXi * Wi) / SUM(i) Wi, where UXi is the displacement of the UX gravity center of the i-finite element, the Wi weight of a finite element.
The drift of stories is calculated as the difference of the average displacement of the gravity center of a slab of the subsequent stories.
The coefficient of the drift of stories d = dr / h, where h stands for the story height.
The results of the displacements for stories are also available in the Results / Stories table.
