Returns information concerning values of member stresses.
RSA_BAR_STRESS_DATA (Information type, Stress type, Extremum type, Bar no., Case no., Division points no.)
Information type
The RSA_BAR_STRESS_DATA formula syntax has the following arguments:
The following types of information are available:
- BAR_NO
returns a member no.
- CASE_COMPONENT_NO
returns a number of the case component in the combination
- CASE_NO
returns a case no.
- EXTREMUM
returns a force value for the extremum found
- POSITION
returns the position on the member where a selected extremum occurs
Note: If you type an argument in the formula manually, enclose the text in quotation marks. You can also select or type a cell address (for example A1) which the data will be loaded from.
Stress type
The following types of stresses are available:
- FXSX
axial stress
- SHEARY
shear stress - TY
- SHEARZ
shear stress - TZ
- SMAX
maximal normal stress
- SMAXMY
maximal stress due to bending moment MY
- SMAXMZ
maximal stress due to bending moment MZ
- SMIN
minimal normal stress
- SMINMY
minimal stress due to bending moment MY
- SMINMZ
minimal stress due to bending moment MZ
- TORSION
torsional stress - T
Note: If you type an argument in the formula manually, enclose the text in quotation marks. You can also select or type a cell address (for example A1) which the data will be loaded from.
Extremum type
The following types of extremum are available:
- MAX
maximum value
- MIN
minimum value
Note: If you type an argument in the formula manually, enclose the text in quotation marks. You can also select or type a cell address (for example A1) which the data will be loaded from.
Bar no.
The following input methods are available:
- Text - type a text (any character string) and enclose it in quotation marks, for example: "ALL" - all members in the project or "1 2 3" - specified list of members
- Number - type an integer
- Cell address - select or type a cell address (for example A1) which the data will be loaded from
- Graphical selection - select this option in the dialog or type "@" (members which are selected graphically in
Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional are taken into account)

Formula:
RSA_BAR_STRESS_ DATA("BAR_NO","TORSION","MAX","ALL","5 to 9",35) - returns the number of a member with maximal torsional stress value among all members and load cases with numbers from 5 to 9, and with 35 division points
