To insert the selected formula with the Insert formula dialog

Use this procedure to insert the selected formula with the Insert formula dialog.

1. Open a project in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional.
2. Launch the Microsoft Excel software.
3. Place the cursor in the cell where you want to enter the formula.
4. Select a provider from Results Connect tab Formula definition panel Provider drop-down list.
5. Select a category from Results Connect tab Formula definition panel Category drop-down list.
6. Select a formula from Results Connect tab Formula definition panel Formula drop-down list.
   Tip: For a list of available formulas, see Formula list - Robot Structural Analysis or Formula list - Results Connect.
7. Click Results Connect tab Formula definition panel Insert selected formula.

   The Insert formula dialog opens.

8. Specify arguments in the formula.

   The available arguments depends on the selected formula. As you click in the text box for each formula argument, the dialog will give you a description of what is expected for that particular argument.

   Note: During the definition of arguments, in the dialog you can see a preview of the syntax formula, you can see the return unit and you can also check the value returned for this formula.
9. Click Insert.
