Edit Rooms for Areabook

Learn how to view and edit the properties of Areabook room data.

Where Room Assignment Type defines the overall parameters based on project standard, you can still edit individual data for a specific room.

1. Click Quantification tab Areabook Extension panel (Edit Room).
2. In the drawing area, select a room.
3. In the Edit/View Room Properties dialog, adjust the properties defined in the following table.
4. Click OK to accept changes or Cancel to close the dialog without making changes.

   Edit/View Room Properties

   Name	Description
   Number	The assigned number of the selected room.
   Name	The assigned name of the selected room.
   Room
   Room Type	The room type of the currently selected room. All existing room types in the project standard are predefined and listed in this drop menu.
   Calculation Factor %	Percentage for calculating area for the currently selected room. 100 means a full calculation factor; 50 means half calculation; 0 specifies no calculation takes place.
   Room Enclosure	(DIN-Standard Only) Room enclosure sectors defined as either: Regular case (R): covered and enclosed sector in full height on all sides. Special case (S): all other sectors.
   Reduction
   Reduction Type	A factor for finishing surfaces which is applied to a room to correctly calculate its net room area and the living area. No Reduction (default) Proportional: Enables the Proportional Reduction for Finishing Surfaces % parameter. Fixed Global: Enables the Fixed Reduction for Finishing Surfaces parameter Fixed by Subareas. This reduction type defines the reduction differently to the global subareas of the room and to single edges. See Edit Room Subarea Reductions.
   Proportional Reduction for Finishing Surfaces %	Available when the Reduction Type is specified as Proportional. Proportional Circumference and unfinished area are not affected.
   Fixed Reduction for Finishing Surfaces	Available when the Reduction Type is specified as Fixed Global. This reduction is applied globally to all room sides in centimeters (or the user defined project units). Living area and net room area are reduced by this value. Circumference and unfinished area are not affected.
   DIN277-1-2016 (DIN-Standard Only)
   Area Type DIN277-1-2016	(DIN-Standard Only) The area type determined by the DIN 277-1 German standard. Select one of the following: NUF Nutzungsfläche TF Technikfläche VF Verkehrsfläche
   NRA Subdivision DIN277-1-2016	(DIN-Standard Only) The net room area subdivision type determined by the DIN 277-1 German standard. Select one of the following: 1-Wohnen und Aufenthalt 2-Büroarbeit 3-Produktion/Hand-Maschinenarbeit/Entwicklung 4-Lagern/Verteilen/Verkaufen 5-Bildung/Unterricht/Kultur 6-Heilen and Pflegen 7-Sonstige Nutzungen 8-Technische Anlagen 9-Verkehrserschl./sicherung
   Other
   Comments	User defined comments about the currently selected room assignment type.
   Room Group Name	The Room Group name with which the room is associated.
