Specify the rooms designated for interior surface area calculation.
Prior to calculating the quantities, you may want to specify which surfaces and elements of which rooms to consider in the calculation. By default,
Roombook reads all rooms of the current project and selects all for the quantity calculation. This includes rooms added after the last calculation process.
- Click Quantification tab
Roombook Extension panel
(Calculate Room Quantities).
- In the Calculate Room Quantities dialog, under Selection, click Selection.
- In the Rooms/Room Groups Selection dialog you can manually select the rooms and room groups used to calculate surface area:
- Selected column. Select individual rooms and room groups.
- Check All. Selects all of the rooms or room groups listed.
- Check None. Deselects all of the rooms or room groups listed.
- Invert. Selected rooms are deselected. Deselected rooms are selected.
Note: The room groups listed here are only those created with the
Areabook Extension. Manually grouped rooms using the Create Group command cannot be considered for room surface calculation. When you select a room group, all associated rooms are selected.
Sort the room and room group lists by the columns to quickly find selections.
- Select Autocheck new rooms to ensure that rooms created after the initial calculation are automatically included in the next calculation. This is selected by default.
- Click OK to accept the selected rooms for calculation. Click Cancel to close the Rooms/Room Groups Selection dialog without adjusting the originally selected rooms/room groups.
In the Calculate Room Quantities dialog, under Selection, you can see the number of rooms and room groups currently selected for this calculation type.
