About Adaptive Points

Adaptive points are modified reference points that are used when designing an adaptive component in the conceptual design environment.

Adaptive points can be used for component placement or as shape handles. If the adaptive points are used for placement, they will be numbered in the order in which they will be placed when the component is loaded.

You create adaptive points by modifying reference points in a generic adaptive family (based on the Generic Model Adaptive.rft family template). When a reference point is made adaptive, it is a placement point by default. Geometry drawn using these adaptive points results in an adaptive component.
