Add or remove a stair on one or more levels in a multilevel stair.
In an elevation view, select the multistory stair.
On the Multistory Stairs panel, click
(Connect/Disconnect Levels).
Click one of the following tools on the Mode panel:
(Connect Levels)
(Disconnect Levels)
Select the related level for the stair you wish to add or remove. To select multiple levels, use a selection box or press and hold Ctrl while clicking each level.
Notice that the cursor displays a plus (+) symbol when you are adding stairs and a minus (-) symbol when removing stairs. You will only see your changes after you click Finish.
Note: If you remove a stair that is connected at the top and bottom to another level stair, the remaining stairs will automatically adjust to maintain the multilevel stair. The stair above the one that is removed extends to attach to the stair on the level below the one that is removed. You cannot remove the base level stair (the stair associated with the Reference Level for the multistory stair).
On the Mode panel, click
(Finish).
Repeat steps 2 through 5 to add or remove additional stair components.
