Modify type properties to change a soffit family's structure, fill pattern, and more.
To change type properties, select an element and click Modify tabProperties panel (Type Properties). Changes to type properties apply to all instances in the project.

Structure | Defines the composition of a soffit. |
Thickness | Indicates the thickness of the soffit, which is determined by the cumulative thickness of its layers. This is a read-only property. |

Coarse Scale Fill Pattern | The fill pattern for a soffit displayed at a coarse detail level. |
Coarse Scale Fill Color | Applies a color to the fill pattern for a soffit in a coarse-scale view. |
Identity Data | |
Keynote | Add or edit the soffit keynote. Click in the value box to open the Keynotes dialog. |
Model | The model type for the soffit. |
Manufacturer | The manufacturer of the soffit material. |
Type Comments | Comments about the soffit type. |
URL | Link for a manufacturer web page. |
Description | Description of the soffit. |
Assembly Description | Description of the assembly, based on the assembly code selection. |
Assembly Code | Uniformat assembly code selected from hierarchical list. |
Type Mark | A value to designate the particular soffit. This value must be unique for each soffit in a project. Revit issues a warning if the number is already used but allows you to continue using it. You can see the warning using the Review Warnings tool. See Reviewing Warning Messages. |
Cost | Cost of the soffit. Can be included in a schedule. |
