Connect to the Revit Server Administrator

You can remotely access the browser-based Revit Server Administrator by specifying the server name in the URL.

You can limit access to the Revit Server Administrator using Internet Information Services (IIS) 7 for Windows Server.

To connect to the Revit Server Administrator for the first time

1. Complete the procedure for installing Revit Server.
2. In a browser window, enter the following: http://<ServerName>/RevitServerAdmin2023 Release

   For example, if your server name is BstSrv, enter the following: http://BstSrv/RevitServerAdmin2023 Release

   Ensure that you enter the correct server name in the specified location.

   Note: The server you specify in the URL can have the Host or Accelerator roles enabled as well, but it must have the Admin role enabled to run the Revit Server Administrator.

   The Revit Server Administrator web-based tool displays, showing those instances of Revit Server for which there is an entry in the server's RSN.ini file. Use the Add to Favorites option or create a shortcut for future access.

Note: Keyboard shortcuts available in Revit Server Administrator are not supported in Windows Internet Explorer 9 and 10.
