Use the Acquire command to share coordinates between files in the cloud when the Publish command is disabled. This procedure follows a sample scenario. It consists of a single project with three separate sites defined in this project. Separate models are used for each of the defined sites.
Note: If your project includes a single building model that needs to be located on each of the different sites, make temporary copies of that model for each additional site.
Because each building model contains each of the site locations, any building can appear on any of the sites.
- Remove the "Building B" and "Building C" linked models from the "Site" model.
- Click Manage tabManage Project panelManage Links.
- In the Manage Links dialog, select the "Building B" link.
- Click Remove.
- In the Unload Link message box, select OK to confirm the removal.
- Select the "Building C" link.
- Click Remove.
- In the Unload Link message box, select OK to confirm the removal.
- Select OK to dismiss the Manage Links dialog.
- Duplicate "Building A".
- In the Project Browser, expand the Revit Links node.
- Select the "Building A" linked model and drag and drop it anywhere into the active view.
- Select the new instance of "Building A".
- On the Properties palette click the button in the Shared Site value.
- In the Choose Site dialog, for Move Instance to, select "Site B". Click OK.
This instance of "Building A" will now appear on "Site B".
- Repeat the previous steps for the "Site C".
