Specify Multiple Values Indication Settings

You can specify the values displayed in properties, schedules, and tags when multiple elements are selected that contain different values for parameters.

When multiple elements are selected, scheduled, or tagged the parameters they have in common display. If the parameter values are the same for all elements selected, the actual value displays. If the parameter values are different across the multiple elements, the value set in the Multiple Values Indication setting displays.

For example, if multiple walls are selected and their unconnected height is set to 8000mm, 8000mm displays as the Unconnected Height in the Properties palette. If the multiple walls are all different heights, the value set in the Multiple Values Indication setting displays.

To specify Multiple Values Indication settings:

  1. Click Manage tab Settings panelAdditional Settings drop-down (Multiple Values Indication).
  2. Select to display multiple values as <varies>, or select Display custom text: and enter a custom text string.
  3. Click OK.
