When using the Transfer Project Standards tool, consider the following:
- When system families rely on other system families, all of the related families must be transferred at the same time in order for their relationships to be maintained. For example, text types and dimension styles make use of arrowheads. Therefore, text types, dimension styles, and arrowheads must be transferred at the same time.
- View templates and filters must be transferred at the same time to maintain their relationships.
- Suppose you want to transfer view templates and filters from the source project to the target project. If the target project contains view templates and filters with the same names, delete them before transferring these items from the source project. This precaution will avoid potential issues.
- The following items do not transfer between projects:
- Floor Plan and Ceiling Plan view types
- Elevation view types
- Section view types
- Visibility settings for
Revit links
Note: You will need to duplicate these types in the target project and manually set the properties as needed.
