When you place a schedule on a sheet with many items, such as this door schedule, it may be very long. You can split the schedule so it fits into the space available.

To split a schedule, click the break mark on the schedule. This breaks the schedule into segments that can be positioned on the sheet where the schedule is placed. Grip controls allow you to modify and move schedule segments.

If you want to split the schedule across multiple sheets, open the schedule and click Split & Place on the contextual tab of the ribbon. In the dialog, select the sheets you want the schedule segments placed on. In this example, we will split the door schedule to the 3 floor plan sheets.

Define the height of the schedule segments. By default, the segments will be split evenly across the selected sheets. Alternatively, select Custom and define the height of each schedule segment. In this example, we will split the segments evenly. Click Split and Place.

Click to place the first segment on the first sheet selected. The other segments will be placed on the remaining sheets in the same position. Once placed, you can use grips on each sheet to make modifications to each segment. For example, the lengths of the segments are adjusted to include only the doors from each floor.

If a segment is deleted from the Project Browser, the other segments will be adjusted to include the rows that were part of the deleted segment.

Use split schedules to make your documentation more flexible.
