Save Drafting Views to an External Project

You can save drafting views to an external Revit project for use in another Revit project.

You can also use this procedure to save sheet views and schedule views to an external project. In this case, no model geometry is saved in the external project, only formatting and setup information about the sheets and schedules.

  1. Select a drafting view in the Project Browser.
  2. Right-click the view name, and click Save to New File.
  3. Enter a new name for the project.

This creates a new Revit project file that contains the selected view and the contents of that view.
