Best Practices: eTransmit for Autodesk Revit

Provides guidelines and recommendations for using eTransmit.

Host Revit Model

Check the transmittal report text file to find out which Revit model is the host. If you chose to include the transmittal report during the eTransmit process, then this text file is included in the same folder as the transmitted files.

Error Reports

Check any error reports to review errors and warnings that occurred during the upgrade and purge unused processes. If you chose to include error reports during the eTransmit process, then these files are included in the same folder as the transmitted files.

Resolve Additional Errors

Open the host model from the saved folder to test the file before sending it. If you selected to upgrade the models, you may see additional errors that were not detected or handled during the upgrade process. Address the errors as you would during a manual upgrade. Resolving any warnings or errors now will make it easier for the recipient to open the models.
