Take the first steps to transition from 2D workflows to BIM using Revit.
Move from 2D to BIM quickly with less design time lost on learning new software. Learn the basics of what you need to know to navigate the software efficiently. Take the courses in this challenge to learn how to:
- Get started in Revit and Revit LT: locating tools in the user interface and navigating the model.
- Start laying out the building plan, starting with walls and adding doors, windows, columns.
- Add and customize walls, floors, and roofs in Revit.
- Add room elements and tags, speed up the placement of dimensions, modify dimensions, add construction details, create a schedule view of reporting and editing the model.
- Link a CAD file, create a sheet, and export a CAD file. Add shading and shadows and create a cloud rendering.
This learning path consists of seven 20-minute lessons:
- Getting started with Revit or Revit LT.
- Layout basic architectural elements in Revit.
- Layout curtain walls, floors, and roofs in Revit.
- Add details to the Revit model.
- Communicate the design intent of the Revit model.
- Work with CAD models form others inside Revit.
- Visualize the building design in Revit.
