This tool lets you place mechanical control devices for a duct system in a model, such as thermostats, CO2 sensors, and humidistats.
- In the Project Browser, open a view where you want to place the mechanical control device.
- Click Systems tabMechanical panel Mechanical Control Device, and in the Type Selector, select a particular device type.
- On the ribbon, verify that Tag on Placement is selected to tag the device automatically. To include a tag leader, select Leader and specify the length. Then specify the following tagging options on the Options Bar:

include a leader line between the tag and the equipment

enter a value in the text box to the right of the Leader check box.

- Click to place the mechanical control.
Tip: You can press the
Spacebar to rotate the equipment prior to placing it in the view. The equipment is rotated by 90 degrees each time you press the
Spacebar.
- Specify an offset under Constraints on the Properties palette to assign an elevation for the mechanical control device. If the device is face-hosted, the offset will be measured from the host face, rather than elevation.
