You can draw horizontal pipe segments in a plan view.

Transitions, tees, and elbows are automatically added to the segment for 2-line pipe according to the routing preferences. Placeholder pipe is drawn without elbow or tee fittings.
Angles for fittings are drawn according to the Angles setting in Mechanical Settings.
If the pipe is assigned to a system, fixtures and equipment connected to it are added to the same system.
Pipes display with centerlines in hidden line view. For pipe fittings, you can override the default centerline by editing the family, adding a model line, and setting its subcategory to centerline.
By default, centerlines are turned off in U.S. templates.
When drawing pipe from a component with multiple stacked connectors, a Select Connector dialog displays to let you specify which connector to use.
