Structural Precast maintains its own directory of family and template files.
When using the commands on the Precast tab, you specify a path for the template and family files (e.g. C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT
2023 Release\Libraries\[LANGUAGE]\Structural Precast and C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT
2023 Release\Templates\[LANGUAGE]).
The files include:
- Annotations
- Custom slabs (sample slab families)
- Mounting parts (lifters and other connection parts)
- Profiles
- Revit (rebar shapes)
- Symbols
- Title blocks.
Note: Precast templates are located in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT
2023 Release\Templates\[LANGUAGE], along with the other Revit templates.
To change the path for precast template and family files after installation.
- Click Precast tab Configuration panel
(Configuration).
- At the bottom of the Configuration dialog, click
.
- In the Select a Folder dialog, navigate to the desired default directory for precast template and family files. Click Select folder to specify the directory.
