Use these best practices when you place free form rebar surface distribution.
Model free form rebar to cross convex or concave edges
Free form rebar cannot cross convex or concave edges between host faces. However, you can use rebar hooks to populate a convex or concave face.
Adjust the hook lengths and angles as needed.
If the faces are not at 90 degrees and the edge between them is convex or concave, the rebar needs to be bent at varying angles. Create several rebar sets (

in the image below) and vary the hook length and angle to accomplish this.
You can also use geometry or work planes to sketch single shape driven or free form bars at the intersection with host faces.
Model free form rebar to cross multiple segmented edges
Similar to convex and concave surface edges, free form rebar will not cross host face edges of 2 or more straight line segments.
Divide the element accordingly to accurately place free form rebar that crosses a single edge. The following element is split into 3 segments to create 3 singular surface edges.
