Use the Rebar Shape Parameters dialog to define the base attributes (parameters) of the rebar shape. The parameters become the default settings in the rebar shape types when placed in a project.
The following table describes the editable properties of the Rebar Shape Parameters dialog:
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Construction | |
Top Finishing Turns | (Spiral rebar only.) Specifies the number of complete coils to close the spiral top. |
Style | Select: <Standard> to use Bend Diameter or Stirrup/Tie to use the Stirrup/Tie Bend Diameter. |
Stirrup/Tie Attachment | (Stirrup/Tie rebar only.) Specifies the stirrup/tie rebar to snap to the interior (default) or the exterior side of the rebar cover reference of the host. Select Interior Face of Cover Reference (default) or Exterior face of Cover Reference. |
Start Tangent Hook Length | On the start position of the rebar shape, this specifies the perpendicular distance between the center of the hook bend to the end of the hook. |
Start Hook Offset Length | Specifies the length of the Start Hook offset.
Note: This value is used in the family editor when creating the rebar shape. When the shape is loaded into a project file the actual values are taken from the Structural Rebar Bar and Rebar Hook definitions.
|
Start Hook Length | Specifies the length of the Start Hook.
Note: This value is used in the family editor when creating the rebar shape. When the shape is loaded into a project file the actual values are taken from the Structural Rebar Bar and Rebar Hook definitions.
|
Shape Image | Specifies an image to associate with the rebar shape type. To create a rebar schedule with the associated images, include the Shape Image field in a rebar schedule in the model. |
Pitch | (Spiral rebar only.) Specifies the distance between rebar coils in the spiral. |
Hook at Start | Lists appropriate hook angles defined by the Style selection. |
Hook at End | Lists of appropriate hook angles defined by the Style selection. |
Height | (Spiral rebar only.) Displays the total height of the spiral rebar. If you use reinforcement rounding in the project, this dimension displays in a dual format: exact and rounded in brackets. |
End Treatment at Start | Either None, Threaded, or Welded. Specifies the end treatment type applied at the beginning of the rebar instance. This is specified by the connected rebar coupler. |
End Treatment at End | Either None, Threaded, or Welded. Specifies the end treatment type applied at the end of the rebar instance. This is specified by the connected rebar coupler. |
End Tangent Hook Length | On the end position of the rebar shape, this specifies the perpendicular distance between the center of the hook bend to the end of the hook. |
End Hook Offset Length | Specifies the length of End Hook offset.
Note: This value is used in the family editor when creating the rebar shape. When the shape is loaded into a project file the actual values are taken from the Structural Rebar Bar and Rebar Hook definitions.
|
End Hook Length | Specifies the length of End Hook.
Note: This value is used in the family editor when creating the rebar shape. When the shape is loaded into a project file the actual values are taken from the Structural Rebar Bar and Rebar Hook definitions.
|
Bend Diameter | Specifies the diameter of the bend of the bar type. |
Base Finishing Turns | (Spiral rebar only.) Specifies the number of complete coils to close the spiral base. |
Bar Diameter | Specifies the diameter of the bar. |
Dimensions | |
A, B, C,... (default) | Specifies variable lengths whose quantities, parameters, and formula names are defined by the content of the shape. |
