Troubleshooting: Project Browser Display

You cannot locate the Project Browser in the user interface.

Issue: The Project Browser may not be selected for display or may be hidden.

Solution: Try one of the following techniques to display the Project Browser:
  • Click View tabWindows panelUser Interface drop-downProject Browser.
  • Open Control PanelDisplay, and make sure that the zoom is set to 100%.
  • If you are using dual monitors, the Project Browser may be displaying on the second monitor, but is not visible. Try these steps:
    1. Change the display to use a single monitor.
    2. Drag and dock the Project Browser in the Revit window.
    3. Rest the display to use dual monitors, if desired.
  • You can reset the ribbon and other user interface settings by deleting the UIState.dat file.
Note: Deleting this file removes customizations to the ribbon and the Quick Access Toolbar, and restores the default user interface.
    1. Exit Revit.
    2. In a Windows browser, navigate to %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2023 Release\<language>.
    3. Delete UIState.dat.
    4. Open Revit.

If none of the above methods resolves the issue, go to forums.autodesk.com, and select Revit from the Browse by product drop-down. From here you can search the forums for more information.
