The following type properties are available after you create an in-place wall in a project. They are not available when you are creating the wall in the Family Editor.
To change type properties, select an element and click Modify tabProperties panel (Type Properties). For in-place walls, changes to type properties apply only to the selected instance.

Construction | |
Function | Categorizes the wall as Exterior, Interior, Retaining, Foundation, Soffit, or Core-shaft. Function is used in scheduling and to create filters that simplify a model for visibility. |
Materials and Finishes | |
Structural Material | Specifies a material for the structure of the in-place wall. This information can be included in schedules. Click the value box to open the Material Browser. See Materials. |
Identity Data | |
Keynote | The relevant keynote selected from a keynote table. Click the value box to open the Keynote dialog. See Keynotes. |
Model | A model identification number for this wall. |
Manufacturer | Information about the manufacturer of this wall. |
Type Comments | User-defined comments to describe this wall. |
URL | An Internet address for more information about this wall. |
Description | A description of this wall. |
Assembly Description | Description of the assembly based on the assigned Uniformat assembly code. |
Assembly Code | Uniformat assembly code selected from a hierarchical list. |
Type Mark | A value to designate this wall. This value must be unique for each in-place wall in a project. Revit LT warns you if the number is already used but allows you to continue using it. You can see the warning using the Review Warnings tool. See Reviewing Warning Messages. |
Fire Rating | The fire-resistance rating of the wall. |
Cost | Cost of the materials required to construct the wall. |
OmniClass Number | In-place walls cannot be assigned a value from the OmniClass Construction Classification System. |
