Delete a Category

Delete categories that are no longer used.

A category that has one or more objects assigned to it cannot be deleted. If you attempt to delete a category that is in use, an error message is displayed.

1. Click Tools  Administration Vault Settings.
2. In the Vault Settings dialog box, select the Behaviors tab >  Categories.
3. In the Configure Categories dialog, select whether you want to configure categories for files, folders, custom objects, or items from the drop-down list.
4. Select the category you want to delete, and then click Delete.
5. Click Yes on the confirmation message to delete the category.
