You can remove a lifecycle state from a lifecycle if it meets certain criteria.
- The lifecycle state is not a default state.
- The lifecycle state is currently not in use by the leading (tip) version of any revision.
- Open the Lifecycle Definition for which you want to remove a lifecycle state.
- In the Lifecycle Details Box, select that the lifecycle state that you want to remove and click Remove.
- To set another state as the default, select it and click Set Default.
- Use the Up or Down arrows to reorder remaining lifecycle states. The order of the states in the lifecycle definition is the same order that is displayed in the Change State dialog.
- Click OK to save the changes and close the dialog.
