Re-index File Properties in a Vault

Depending on your Vault release, you can specify whether just the latest or released versions, or all versions of a file are included in the re-index.

  1. From the ADMS Console, select a vault from the Vaults folder.
  2. Select Actions > Re-index File Properties.
  3. Select the types of files that you want to re-index.
    • Re-index latest versions only

      The latest versions are reindexed.

    • Re-index latest and released versions only

      The latest versions, released versions, and pending released versions are re-indexed.

      This is the default option.

    • Re-Index all files

      Re-indexes all of the files in the vault.

  4. Specify filters for re-indexing. You can filter files based on file extension, provider, or date.
  5. Click Calculate to see the number of files that will be re-indexed based on the selection set.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Yes on the prompt to begin re-indexing file properties.

    Clients can access the vault while it is being re-indexed. Not all properties may be up-to-date until the re-indexing has finished.
