Remove a Row from a BOM

Remove rows from the BOM that are no longer needed.

For example, you might need to remove individual parts because you track and buy the assembly as a single item.

Note: If you wish to track an item or virtual component but don't want it represented as part of the BOM, you can simply turn the row off instead of removing the row altogether. For example, an assembly might exist in the CAD file for reference only, but should not be represented as part of the BOM. In these instances you can keep the item listed but turn off the row.

Items listed in the BOM can be removed by deleting the rows containing the items. When a row is removed from the BOM, the link to the item and links to all children of the item are removed. Removing a row for an assembly in the BOM removes the assembly row and all corresponding child rows.
