Give access to folders, file properties, and ‘Uses/ Where Used’ tabs to certain users while preventing them from downloading files.
Object-based and lifecycle state-based security and Custom Roles now include a Download permission. Previously, any user or group with the Read permission could download the file. Now, it is possible to grant certain users access to see the folders content, access file properties, Uses/ Where Used tabs while preventing them to download the actual files. Users with a Read permission on a file only aren't able to use operations which require file download permissions like copy design, GET, Pack & Go and so on.
