To Toggle the Creation of Backup Files (Visual LISP IDE)

Backup files allow you to recover the previous version of an AutoLISP program that was edited in the Visual LISP IDE.

Note: The Visual LISP IDE is available on Windows only.

1. In Visual LISP, click Tools Environment Options General Options.
2. In the General Options dialog box, General tab, click Backup the File Edited on First Save to toggle automatic backup on or off.

   By default, this option is already selected when Visual LISP is installed.
