Use this option to define additional code parameters for the steel member type. Access the parameters by clicking the More button in the Member Definition - Parameters dialog.
The following parameters are defined:
- Parameters of the load type in the direction of axes Y and Z, used for calculation of coefficients of the effective moment Cm, according to SE-A:2006 - Table 6.14
- Section parameters
- Anet/Agross ratio - it applies to a tensile force acting on the cable. It is a coefficient that defines the relationship of the member cross-section area, not considering the bolt or rivet openings (Anet), to the total cross-section area (Agross)
- Avy,neta/Avy ratio
- Avz,neta/Avz ratio
- Parameters for angles in tension - according to EN 1993-1-1
- Parameters for pipe sections (yield limit) - according to EN 1993-1-1
- Conditions for round pipes. If the Pipes - unidirectional bending option is selected, then, for this type of section, a bending moment equal to a sum of moments acting along axes Y and Z is calculated; the resultant moment is the basis for member design
- Values of material factors.
