When cracks are not severe, there is no verification with respect to Serviceability Limit State. In the case of severe or very severe crack, substitute the Mou and Vou with Mos and Vos (moment and shear force originating in the forces operating in the Serviceability Limit State) as well as fe/γs the stress in the Serviceability Limit State in the formulas provided for calculating reinforcement.

If the crack is severe

η=1.6 → for reinforcement HA o φ ≥ 6 mm,
